At the beginning of the Second World War many units were converted from Infantry to Armour. The GGFG and CGG were officially identified as the 21st and 22nd Canadian Armoured Regiment, respectively. Well before the adoption of the Household Division's flash now worn on the beret, both units were known to paint a red or white trapezoid onto their helmets representing their bearskin's plume.

Each badge is made to order, allow 1-2 weeks for production.

(Picture shows the first run of badges which measured 2"x2", new badges are 1.5" to better fit on helmets and pouches while providing a lower signature.)
